OT: RIP George Carlin...Posted by grafixjoe
This is a sad day. He was the best. He was the anti-institution institution. He was the funniest SOB I ever heard when I was a kid. He changed people's thinking. He will be sorely missed.
He's probably having a beer & a bone with St. Peter right now ![]() ![]() Rest in peace. ![]() ![]() Here is a sample of his genius (rough language warning): When life gives you dilemmas...make dilemmanade. ![]()
Hopefully he will have a Most Excellent Adventure on the other side

He was the best kind of communicator - a truth teller.
Remember in the 70's way back in junior high school - we all memorized his routines...the "hair" poem - the seven dirty words - He was a BS annihilator - the kind of things most creative folks would say to themselves but never say out loud. He'd yell it from the rafters one of my favorite Carlin-isms "why do they lock gas station bathrooms? Are they afraid someone will come in and try to clean it?" The truth tellers today live on the Daily Show and HBO's Real Time....sadly not on many...or any of the mainstream network programs. Andy
Also, let's take a moment to remember the venerable character actress & comedian, Dody Goodman, who's appearances in the Grease films and as a regular on Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman brought me to tears in laughter...
