Can you apply "Basic Motion" parameter changes to multiple items simulatneously?

My name is Ethan, I am a high schooler doing some pretty advanced stop motion animation using FCP... I shoot frame by frame with a still camera, and FCP works great because I can then simply set the still/freeze import duration as 1 frame and its pretty much drag and drop. But heres the question:

Is there an easy way for me to apply a basic motion change (in the viewer panel) to a whole bunch of these individual frames in one action? Like for example just a scale change or rotation of all of the images...? The only thing I can think of is to drop the entire sequence somewhere and make a change to it, but I seem to lose image quality that way...

Thanks for your time.
Very easy.

MAke the changes you want to your first clip. Then select all your other clips and then click edit>paste attributes and make sure you have the motion box checked. Easy.

Or make a nested sequence of the selected frames and use the effects/motion on that...

FCP doesn't handle a lot of single-frame stills well. You might want to make it into one Image Sequence in QuickTime Player and then save it as a movie file.

Thanks Matt, worked perfectly. I have in the past used the technique Ben suggested, but I always seem to lose resolution, especially when increasing scale. Perhaps I am doing something wrong when I try to do it that way, but i think however I'm doing it FCP is limited by the resolution of the nested sequence rather than working with the much larger original image.

I have also gone the image sequence route in the past. I agree it is a solid option as well, but, perhaps because I am not a great quicktime operator, I seem to again lose some image quality going that route. Besides, despite the small flaws, I like the control of having all of the frames individual in Final Cut because when I go back to edit out fly rigs and tie downs (which hold the puppets in place) it is a lot easier to fix a single frame (check the number, pull it up in photoshop, edit, overwrite, reconnect, and its fixed).

Anyways, thanks to all for the help. This forum is a great resource, I will definitely be back...

You might consider Motion if you have the full Studio Package. It handles stills larger than the video frame a bit more gracefully than FCP.
