Option toggle?

This has gotta be easy but where do i choose how linked clips are selected, either alone or together? i.e., video and audio are linked and you click once and they are all selected. Then if you only want to grab one track, you option click.

Somehow my preferences got switched and now i have to option click to select linked clips and i cant for the life of me find out where to switch it back. sigh....

Press Shift-L to turn linked selection back on.

that's also the tiny "Chain-link" icon top right of the timeline.

you probably hit "Shift L" by mistake, happens all the time!

holding the option key while clicking allows you to toggle it on/off when you're clicking.

ahhh thank christ, Shift - L was what i was looking for, how have i managed not to ever hit shift L in the last 5 years?
