Hello Everyone,
So first I'll explain what I did. I'm hoping that the solution is not my worst fear (re-editing the whole thing)
I am working on an independent movie that I wrote and directed with my brother-in-law.
This was my first project and I've been learning as I go.
We shot the whole thing on a Canon XL2 at 24p and in 16:9.
We imported it into FCP via my XL2 for lack of a DV deck and for the last two months have been editing in a sequence that had a frame rate of 30i.
About 3 weeks ago I found out that when you put a clip in a sequence, it changes the frame rate of the clip to match the sequence. I figured that this was not a big deal and once we were done editing, I could just copy everything and paste it into a 24p sequence and everything would be fine and dandy.
Anyhow, that is not the case. Today I finally finished everything (color correcting w/ a monitor, overdubbing audio, sound effects etc.) and I copied all of the frames, pasted them into a 24p sequence and rendered. But now whenever there is any motion, horizontal lines appear all over the place, as if it was interlaced or something.
I appreciate any info anyone has on this as to how to handle these horizontal lines. Please don't tell me I have to re-edit the whole thing!
Thanks,
Wil
