D5 23.98 sequence settings

I shot a short film on 35mm 3 perf. Transfered to D5 at 23.98. Will be delivering on D5 at 23.98. What is the workflow I should maintain on FCP to ensure proper synch?

I just locked my cut and I realized that I forgot to do reverse telecine on half the footage AND my sequence is at 29.97. Should I 1) reverse telecine the remaining footage and 2) drop the cut into a 24fps sequence or keep the 29.97 and let the online facility do the conversion?

Thanks!!

Matt

You will have to reverse telecine that footage, recut it into the locked cut manually. You should be working in a 10-bit uncompressed setting or ProRes or ProRes HQ setting, at 23.98.

Asking about workflow AFTER you edit? Interesting.

Yipes.
Good rule of thumb: If you find yourself having to render ordinary clips with no effects on them, something's usually wrong with the setup and that's your cue to stop editing and start troubleshooting.
