file size discrepancy

While on the subject of exporting, I just created a Quicktime (.mov file) from a little 3-minute video that resulted in a file size of 660 MB. This is at great variance with one I recently created for a 22-minute film that had far more visual effects, yet only resulted in a file size of 249 MB.

I checked the Codecs, bit rates, and dimensions of both in the info box, and they're identical. Wherein lies the difference?

That depends on what codec you used.
