keyboard shortcuts don't work after upgrading to Leopard

I just upgraded to Leopard and noticed that when I try to use my keyboard shortcuts, Apple c for cut, Apple v for paste, Apple Z for undo, etc. they don't work. For example when I use Apple x for cut, I get ≈

When I use Apple C for copy, I get ç

When I use Apple V for paste I get √

Also, since upgrading to Leopard I can no longer use Apple Shift 4 - drag to take a picture of a selected part of the screen.

Does anybody know the fixes for these problems?

Thanks.

Sounds like your command and option keys are swapped. Go to "System Preferences," "Keyboard & Mouse," and under the "Keyboard" tab click the "Modifier Keys" button. Make sure the keys are mapped to their correct functions.

Also, if you're using a non-standard keyboard, you might find that the "Control" key equates to "Command" and the "Windows" key equates to "Option," or weirdness like that.

You hit the nail on the head.

I do have a non-standard keyboard (Logitech) and realized that I had not installed the Logitech software. Once installed, everything works as usual.

Thanks a bunch, Jeff - Happy New Year!
