This has got to be a joke. That has got to be the most counterproductive innovation I have seen yet for the personal computer (IMHO). Not geared towards the Post Production community for sure...but there are tons of Apple fanatics that must have the latest, so believe it or not, it will probably sell quite a bit.

LOL - Sorry Joey, I would have thought there were certain statements that would have clued you in.

that is a stupid apple idea. right now i can push a key and i have a letter, hit shift then the letter is capital.

Why would i want to create longer times to get a capital letter. spin the wheel > choose the letter> click then choose it to be capital. DUMB

That was a COMPLETE waste of rd time and money. Put fcp on that and try a key command. How long would it take to log and capture or write an email.

Look on the bright side, J. Corbett, the scroll wheel is reminiscent of the linear machines we used to use. I'm sure they'll map the center button for punch in/outs. You'll need 2 of those MBWs for dual screen anyway. So with the ingenuity of modern technology, you now have the reliability of hard drives and the efficiency of the scroll wheel, besides, you never needed those extra buttons on the linear edit controllers anyway!
