OT - (4ch) audio from HVX200 into soundtrackpro

just wondering (i HATE soundtrack pro BTW) if there is a way to open a P2 clip - log and transferred into FCP with soundtrack pro and edit the 4 channels individually?

so far, when i open log and transferred P2 footage via FCP with soundtrack pro i get ALL FOUR tracks and cant work with any one of them individually...

and please, no wise acre answers like "read the manual" if there was time for that, we wouldnt need the forum ; )

I've had this happen a bunch, it is indeed annoying.

My work around is to disable all the tracks, and then enable the one i want to work on. Then i can tweak, process, etc at well and then send that soundtrack project back into FCP, and isolate that one track again.

There's prob better ways but for me, thats been good enough since im usually only dealing with one mic track.

You can use the mxf4mac component instead of using "log and transfer". The audio channels are handled as discreet external audio files in this case.
