Configuration error "requires AGP graphics card"

Hi and thanks for taking my call!

FCP HD 4.5 will not boot on my "new" G5 4 x 2.5 GHz powerPC; the older one it ran on no problem was a G5 Dual 2GHx

After installing on the quad I'm getting 'Configuration Error...software requires AGP graphics card'

The quad shows under "graphics/displays" is a NVIDIA GeForce 6600 (Bus: PCi on Slot 1)

my dual had an ATI Radeon 9600 Pro (Bus: AGP Slot 1)

It seems counterintuitive that I should be replacing the graphics card with one used by an older model.

So...what exactly am I supposed in fact to do?

thanks!

Wow this thread has me laughing. Not at the problem, or even the solution, but rather the direct, simple answer.

How many times I have wished my problems could be settled by just pressing the right key!

So Tom, I am broke, my wife wants a divorce, my eldest is on crack, my daughter was just arrested for solicitation, I am out of cream for my coffee. What do I do?

Please oh PLEASE just tell me the button press!

Have you tried rebuilding your desktop? Hold down command-option and restart your life.

I sometimes wish that life had a reboot button.

Well it does. Or at least a kill process function. The problem lies in the restart. You lose everything you were working on!

And there's no 'undo' option.

And the keyboard mappings are all hard to remember, and the mouse ball keeps getting gunked up.

Wait. What are we talking about again?
