Blu Ray as an output option...Posted by JoeE
How long do you want it? Have you considered simply bringing a laptop and playing out an H.264 instead? If they have Blu-Ray they probably have a projector that accepts DVI or HDMI too...

Haven't burned one myself yet, but:
The burner may not be as important as the software you choose to encode with. Not sure if the cheaper alternatives like Toast 10 offer you the MPEG options. Alternately, you could hook up a Mac as suggested and burn an HD (H.264) disc in DVDSpro; only a Mac can read the resulting HD-DVD but at least it will be in HD. It would not even be neccesary to make an HD-DVD. I was thinking H.264 1080p. that will play on any current Mac or PC in QuickTime player and look great.
