Hey People,

I mostly buy from BH Photo and have always had really good results. I know they sell audio stuff too, but wonder what are some of the other excellent dealers are out there if looking for mixers, mics, boom poles etc.

Are there other sites to avoid (like avoiding Lacie Drives smiling bouncing smiley)?

Thanks in advance....

Aloha,
-Darren

I've was very very happy with the service and prices at Full Compass

www.fullcompass.com

A salesman named Brian was very helpful to me when I bought my studio speakers and mixer a few years back. If he's still there, talk to him. Prices are reasonable, if you figure in the fact that you're getting REAL customer service. Plus, their shipping charges are also very reasonable.

Amazon.com works for me often, or B&H, J&R, Musicians Friend, Sweetwater, etc.

sweetwater and fullcompass are my two vendors of choice. i do find fullcompass much more video-savvy though.

they both have jumped though hoops for me in the past as far as educating me on item options and getting things fedexed for saturday morning and such...

Good grief guys, are we talking production sound or a Mackie mixer for your editing system? If you are talking about production sound, please go to a local production sound source like Coffee Sound, Location Sound, on the east coast, Trew Audio, etc.

If you are talking about cheap edit bay mixers and consumer "monitors", any of the box house sources above will suffice.

Just want to throw one in for the location sound specialists who will all be going out of business soon unless we support them and buy from them. When I buy a $4,000.00 location sound mixer, a boom pole, a wireless mic, I want to buy it from someone who can give me "in-person" support, after sale service and quality advice.

Sweetwater. Been with them since the beginning 25 years ago. Everything is great. Price and after sales.
