Capture ProRes 442 @ 720x480?

Anyone know if it's possible to capture ProRes 422 in a 720x480 frame size? Even if I set the capture settings to that size the resulting captured video is still 720x486. Using a Kona 3 to bring in tape based material. Long story why this is important but briefly we also pull a lot of video off DVD which is 720x480 and we want to stay in that frame size. We have tons of archived video in the DVCPro50 codec which is also 720x480. Thanks for your help!

Might have something to do with the Kona 3 capturing D1?

I haven't tried it but can you capture DV 720x480 on the Kona 3? If so I'm surprised that you can't get ProRes to play ball...

Might be worth calling AJA.

It appears the issue is within FCP and the ProRes codec. I can capture any tape format through the Kona and using the DVCPro50 codec at 720x480. For that matter I believe I've captured uncompressed as 480 also.

Sounds like a D1 preset someplace...
