Exporting alpha channels from FCP

I am trying to export a rendered alpha channel clip keyed on track V2 from FCP, using the animation codec, millions of colors +, self-contained, but it always contains a black background when I open it in Motion or even re-import it into FCP. What am I missing?

2 ways.

1. If you are working in an Animation sequence with embedded alpha channels, you can simply export a self contained QT movie.

2. If you are working in a typical video codec (dvcproHD, Uncompressed, ProRes, etc), you need to export with QT conversion (Animation, millions of colours+), AND discard the render files in that sequence.
