Progressive to interlaced
April 20, 2009 06:23AM
Hi all!
One thing that has been bugging me for some time now:
When I shoot progressive, sometimes Final cut interpret the clips as upper fields.
Why is that?
If I want to make a dvd what is best, setting the timeline to "none" and in compressor set the fields to "none"? Or should I leave it "upper fields" and do the same in compressor?
I guess since it´s shoot progressive you shouldn´t see any difference?
Is Final cut making a PsF timeline of my progressive clips or what´s going on.
When I shoot with the RED camera this doesn´t occur...

Can someone please tell me what the deal is here?

Thank´s

Husse

What are you shooting with the rest of the time?

HVX200. After doing some digging I have found that it records PsF hence the interlaced timeline...
