Online...but not playing back in timeline?

Hi all.

Never seen this one before after 7 years.

I have clips online, but they are "darker" on the timeline then other clips and do not play back. as though they are actually not there.... but they exist and come up on match frame.

How do I "reactivate" them aside from re-cutting them in?

Select them, hit ctrl-B. Your clips are ? um ? I forget the FCP term for it. They're deactivated, turned off basically. Online, fully functional, but essentially invisible on your timeline until you toggle them back again.

It's called Clip Enable/Disable. Hands-down the best way to A/B edit choices, leave in alternate takes, force partial re-renders, and so on. Many, many uses for this function.

Actually, now that you mention it, yeah. Better then turning off tracks.
