Hi,
I'm experiencing a weird situation (for the first time after 10 years using FCP...) I opened a project I'd just finished, after being editing another one and some Render files disapeared. I didn't paid too much attention to the fact, even though it was a pity and gave the machine the command to render again. Then everything stopped and the system freezed. I restarted the machine, ande the same thing happened. Just clicking on the timeline brings the system to a complete crash. I've restarted the machine almost 20 times and nothing becomes better. Someone told me to place the data into another disk, but it didn't help. I put all the files offline and tried to capture again, but when I tried to see the sequence with the new captured stuff, the system crashed again. Besides: instead of the blue "unrendered" screen, I see a green or a red screen on the video-monitor! It happens just with this one project, with the sequence with the final version of the film! The film was shot on DV at 23,98 frames (NTSC). When I try to recapture the clips, the machine warns me and says "the video device ist configured as non-drop frame", but I can't change these settings in order to configure the device to work with drop-frames. Anyway, I don't know if that has to do with the main problem...
Thanks for any help, I've a screening of the film on Thursday...
