EDIT to tape not sending audio

No audio coming through on EDIT to tape

Trying to layback to tape with uvx-1800 betacamSP deck.

I have successfully done this dozens of times on this same system

I am monitoring audio through deck fine and i can crash to tape or print to video with audio working, but edit to tape sends no audio.

I trashed all my fcp prefs, rebooted, confirmed audio preferences for system and decklink to be set correctly. Launched fcp, confirmed audio path and still no luck.

Does anyone know the magic trick for this? I can find any preferences for Edit to tape audio paths.

Without sitting at the computer, I can't say for sure, but here are things to check.

Edit to tape contains buttons on the bottom right which control which audio tracks are sent.

Make sure that your audio playback is sending through your capture card.

Make sure that your audio tracks are sending to the right channels. IOW, A1 is sending to ch 1, A2 is sending to ch 2.

Hmmm. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Do you have downmix on? Edit to tape won't send audio sometimes if it's on.

That's a uvW- 1800, right? Not uvX...

I don't recall that deck being a multichannel deck so audio downmix to L-R is critical. When you trashed your prefs you may have altered audio settings.
