looking for the trick of the week: replace a L3 psd without loosing transitions

I have to do a very repetive task.
My spots have L3 with a tune in info that I need to update on each spot: Tomorrow - Tonight - Next - etc..
The L3 is a psd file, with fade in and fade out.
Right now I have to manually overwrite the L3 and add the fade in/out everytime.
Isn't there a way to make this process faster: replace edit - fit to fill... I tried a few things but i loose the transitions everytime.

The answer was in the bay next door: Copy/Paste attribute!
Select the New L3 in the Browser - Cmd C
Select the L3 to replace in the TL: Opt V
Et voilà!
There's another way to accomplish a fade in or fade out without touching the clip at all - put a slug on a higher V track, and ramp its opacity from 100 to 0 (for a fade in) or 0 to 100 for a fade out. This is also a good way to do a fade in/out on a whole group of layered clips at once.

forgive me ignorance but what is an L3 PSD? - I think the PSD is a fotoshop file do you mean three layer?
