RAID / Hard Drive solutions you guys use please.

Ive never owned a true RAID HD system.
Ive used a couple in the past, and id like to get into a nice setup now.

G-Raid
Sohotank i like its handle on top.

And I am sure there are more companies out there, I just dont know them but i am open to all suggestions.
These are the ones ive meet or read about so far.

I need help making a good desision on what brand to go with and why.

My Budget $2,500
Goal 8 bay tower with 1.5tb hard drives in each bay.

I know very little about RAID systems and how they are properly used.

Please share what system you are using, how, and what made you go with your brand. Also if you recommend it or not.

My usage will be.
Editing on FCP and Premiere
Compositing on AE
Footage 95% RED 4K transcoded often times to ProRes 422 1080p or greater if i can handle it. Id love to be able to do uncompressed 10bit.

Systems
MacPro 8core last years model with 32GB of ram
Mac Pro 4core 2 years ago model with 10gb of ram
MacBook Pro 2.93 with 4gb of ram new 4 weeks old.

Again please tell me what you use, and what are your thoughts about it.
