Deleting files from P2 cards directly in the HVXPosted by badbonz
Hi all,
I am having the toughest time trying to clear off the P2 cards from my boss's HVX. Anyone have any idea how to do this? All the files have locks on them and you can not unlock them unless they are on your computer. But, if they are on your computer, they are just merely a copy of what is on the card and the files still remain locked on the card. How can I delete the files from the card directly from the camera and have the cards ready to use again? thank you. Mike D
That's a camera function, obviously, AND may vary from P2 model to model. I'm afraid you are forced to read the manual for the proper viewfinder menu option unless somebody chimes in.

Thanks Loren, I am looking in the HVX Bookby Barry W. Green but not much help. I don't have the original manual as this is my boss's camera and it's probably at his house and I'm in the office. The model camera is an AG-HVX200P (if that helps anyone to help me
thanks for the help. Mike D
Put the camera into THUMBNAIL mode...press the MCR button on the back of the camera. Now, to format the card simply press the MENU button, choose the OPERATION menu, and you will see the path for formatting the card. If you only want to delete individual clips, move to the clip in question, then press the PAUSE key (that will select it), then go to the OPERATION menu and you will see options for deleting just that clip.
