HDCAM PROBLEM

Hi all

im working on a project using HDCAM but i seem to be only able to capture at 10bit uncompressed 720-576 i need to capture at HDprores but i can figure out how to get footage from the HDCAM deck HDW-S280 to my system?
I just got this deck, an hour ago ive never used it before, i downloaded the manual but im stuck?
this is the specs of my system
Kona Lhe
Fibre Channel HUGH 4tb external drive
FCP 6
OS X 10.4
2 x 3 dual core processor
8gb ram

Im sure its something simple and i have to get this deck back in the morning please help?

Go to the Kona control panel, make sure that input is set correctly. I'm not at an AJA workstation right now, so I can't give you specific details. In FCP, use an AJA HD ProRes setting in Easy Setup.
