Quick Question
November 11, 2009 12:41PM
I am editing a music video, so I have a ton of clips with sound. However I don't need the sound in the sequence. Does anyone know a quick way to drag clips into the Sequence without the sound? Sucks having to cut it out everytime...

Thanks!!

Just un-patch your audio tracks before making your edit. Left side of your timeline.

Or you could lock your audio tracks...

Yeah...I was gonna say it's easier (for me) to lock your audio tracks and just drag your clips into the video track (hacks off the audio tracks).

That's a good point, if you're insert-editing onto a (for example) mixed music bed, then locking the audio tracks would be a better choice, 'cause it would prevent your music from rippling as you edit.

Either one will work, though.

Shift F5 to lock audio tracks.

Shift F7 F8 to un-patch audio tracks 1&2.

Whichever is easier...

Round trip to Soundtrack Pro, turn off audio, and back.
