Live feed from camera into FCP

Hi! I thought I post in this forum too.

So this is my scenario:
Day one, shooting a locked off outdoor, perspective scene.
Day two, shooting a locked off studio, perspective scen.

Problem: Need to match the angle and objects in the scene. To do that, i need to get a live feed from the camera and overlaying a still from the shot from the first day.
Is that possible in FCP? I probably going to shoot RED so firewire is out of the question.

Or does anyone have any suggestion to get a live feed from a camera via BNC into some software and overlaying an image there?

Thank's

If you specifically want to bring in a still for comparison then HD Monitor will let you do that

If you are keying then maybe something like VeeScope Live is better

Telestream Pipeline. It's not cheap but you can actually start editing as the source is feeding.

Thank's Craig but that's a bit pricey for one project smiling smiley

Goran's been getting some more traction with this over at the COW ... best option so far for the specific need (software wise) seems to be Conduit from DV Garage.

Do you by any chance have a Kona 3 card in your system? That has a built in keyer that would let you do what you are asking.

Thank's V! Actually I'm thinking of dragging my Mac Pro down to the studio, I have a Kona3 in that machine.
I'm gonna look up that keying possibility!
