Multiple Canvas windows

Multiple Canvas windows

Interesting (and over-the-top) scenario. I have a Mac Pro system running four monitors. I'd like to have two of them display the canvas window simultaneously (one for me and the other, a large LCD monitor for the director), while the other two monitors are running other vital FCP windows.

If I mirror monitors in OSX system prefs, I am mirroring ALL of them. There is no discreet control over what to mirror and what not to mirror.

In a nutshell, is there a way to run two canvas windows? I can't see a way.

Thanks to all.

Use the LCD as an external monitor connected via your deck.

Isn't that what Digital Cinema Desktop Preview is for? Check out your View menu > External Video / Video Playback / Audio Playback options ... you can work in the canvas while the director watches the full screen.

Or add a couple more video cards to your system.
