Audio screw up from sound remixer

I gave my aif files to my sound remixer out of an FCP export in 23.98, I got the files back with cleaned up sound but they now don't sync up (24fps? 29.98 now?).

The project is 2 hrs, it runs off sync after 16 minutes.

Anyone know how to convert from 29.98 (or whatever) to 23.98? Is that possible? I think he used digital performer....?

Any advice is welcome. Thank you.

29.98fps? You mean 29.97fps.

Besides, what really matters in audio is the sample rate. What was your export at? What was your sound mixer's sample rate?

Yeah they probably added a pitch shift to go from 24p to 29.97 sync. Tell them to reverse that and give you the audio synced to the 24p source.

But the other possibility is one is 48000 (your video) and they did the clean up at 44100 (Music CD standard). Launch the track in QuickTime Player and Apple-I for INFO.

That cross "shouldn't" create problems....
