Undo isn't working

I just upgraded to the latest version of FCS, and UNDO isn't working...not the EDIT drop-down menu and not using CMND+Z. I've changed preferences to 99 Levels of undo...tried closing FCP and reopening...nothing is working.

Anyone have a clue?

Does APPLE-Z just not do anything? Have you tried starting a new project file and doing a clean test? Not much information to work with here.

APPLE Z does nothing as far as I can tell. I've opened an existing project and it doesn't work. I've closed out and reopened FCP. I've started a new project and preformed a few basic tasks, but still I can't undo.

I'm working on a brand new MacBook Pro OSX V 10.6.2...undo pref is set to 99 actions.
Here's a screen shot...not sure what more I can tell you.

The only thing I can think of is that the cache storing your operations might be locked, somehow. Dump preferences and repair permissions. Other than that, you may need a reinstall.

Nothing i can point to but I'm suspicious of 10.6.2. It may be but half-baked.

I've seen this. Can you trash prefs? If not, reinstall FCP?

It was a brand new upgrade hours old. Not sure a reinstall would have done it? But I dumped the preference files, and that seemed to work finally. Big relief!
