Been hired to create a short video tutorial for a technique in FCP7. Trying to decide sequence settings & how to transcode source footage as it must be included in download. Client wants smallest file size for complete bundle as possible. Original footage was 1280x720p (24fps) - so I thought I'd scale to 50% - but unsure of codec to use.
I'm thinking of using ProRes proxy for things that involve straight cuts and ProRes LT for anything involving color or compositing.
But I'm still looking at a pretty large download - question is:
is prores an effiecient choice for 640x360? I'd also be fine with 8 bit instead of ten.
Is there anything smaller (progressive) that won't get freaky like h.264?
Thanks in advance
