The effect "Looks" failed to render...

...anyone have any suggestions on this one? Could it be an algorithm conflict with the other filters I'm using on this clip (sapphire grain, sapphire film damage, looks filter applied twice)? If so, why is it working on half of the clip and not the rest?

Thank you.

On the same clip? Why twice? That's going to awfully complicate things. If you need to apply looks twice, and you can't manage to render, you could render the first half of the filter stack, export those clips and apply the rest of the filter stack onto the exported clip and finish the rendering.

This is a known bug that occurs with dual monitors, if you unplug your 2nd monitor you will be able to render. However, has anyone found a permanent fix for this? I'm sick of unplugging my monitor.

You shouldn't stack looks. There is no reason to do it twice.

You can try switching it to render in 8 bits YUV in sequence settings.

You may want to upgrade to the brand new Looks 2 (released today in RGS's "Magic Bullet Suite 11"winking smiley:

Rule of thumb is not to upgrade on day 1 of a new release especially if you need it for critical purposes. Wait a bit and read the forums for possible bugs.

Looks 2 is not a new release. It's an upgrade to an already stable plug-in.

I usually wait 2 weeks before doing any upgrades. I got FCP X during the initial release as I just got a new laptop, and there wasn't much to reinstall.
