I have an old deck that has a DB25 port using RS232. I'd like to control it in FCP but my Matrox MXO2 has a DB9 with RS422 (IIRC). Is there a way to control this deck?

Have a look at [www.addenda.com]
There are converters.

Oh well, they weren't able to do anything for me. Back to the drawing board, I guess.

You may have a look at [pipelinedigital.com] as well. I know they had the right converter cables.
You can also search for RS422 to RS232, there must be cabling maps for that.
