I have some titles that slide in from one side and a color bg that slides in from the bottom. Added to these are dissolves at both the beginning and the end. The end dissolve that's attached to the text causes the text to slightly bump up when it begins. Any clue why? How can I fix this?

Stupid question, but ? have you rendered? Dissolves are often (always?) non-real-time effects, and must be rendered before they'll play back at full quality. So you might be seeing an unrendered, low-res rendition of the dissolve.

Yes, it's completely rendered.

Do you have the Sequence > Render menus "FULL" Option checked before you rendered?
That bites a lot of folks.

No that wasn't checked and it did the trick. Thanks a bunch, smooth as a baby's butt.

Yeah, that's another thing about Final Cut that takes a little getting used to. By default, "render flippin' everything" doesn't actually render flippin' everything.

Good catch, Kevin.
