How to capture video off the screen?
April 28, 2010 02:08AM
I'm doing a promo for a web school. they need screen shots of their live interactive classes.
Seeing the teacher teach, students in a PIP and writing or graphic lessons in action.
They want perspective students to understand the concept and thus show an example of what their computer screen will look like
Is there a program to capture and load the files into FCP?
I tried videoing the screen, it's OK but a little pixelated.
any suggestions?
Thx
Mitch

I used this on a project last month:

This product captures well but it doesn't play nicely with FCP. It hasn't been updated in many years and has been well surpassed by Screenflow and iShowU.

All the best,

Tom

I use Screenflow. My buds in 'Tino use iShowU but I don't like it.

I like iShowU - cheap, easy, nice compression. But all of these are good options.

FYI, MacUpdate.com is offering a one-day sale (30% off) on ScreenFlow...
