converting wma files for use in FCP 6

I have some old recording of a band I was - the files are wma and they play on my desktop but will not import in to FCP. I tried some free downloads and none of them worked. Is it possible to do this? Cheers Phil.

if they do then convert them to aif or acc. Then open them in compressor and use the aiff 48/16 preset to convert.

in fact i think compressor can take wma.

i'm not sure...
but you might need to download the free Flip4Mac plugin that lets wmv's play in QT.

Always a fan of MPEG Streamclip along with Perian... Not 100% sure about WMA files, but they play just about anything together and export to anything. Great combo.

For WMA, you need FLIP4Mac. MPEG STREAMCLIP and PERIAN don't work with WMA. Flash, yes. WMA, no.
