FYI
Had to layoff an 3 year old timeline today and encountered
"No Movie in File" mid way through
After repeated attempts to export a video clip and re-introduce it to the time time.
(as this is were the sequence stopped)
I found an mp3 file in the timeline.
So it was not Video but audio.
This was a FCP 5 Sequence
interesting for me because I convert everything into 48k
guess I was sloppy in 2007

An MP3 alone would not cause that message, so what may have happened is that you had done a "Save As" on the MP3 to put it into a QuickTime movie wrapper, but hadn't made it self-contained. MP3 files since version 1 (I'm pretty sure) have played with bleeps, but would not cause this kind of "media offline" type of message.

Render files can also get corrupted and cause this error.

Derek,
All I did was delete the mp3 completely from the sequence and all was fine
