FCExpress titles into FCP?

Quick question. Can a timeline of titles be done in FCE and exported to FCP? Got a producer who wants to do their own subtitles and is starting them right now in FCE. She's matching them up against the locked cut in H264(?)and wants to give me the title track to put over the HD Online. It's a budget thing.
Anyone got any experience with FCE like this?

An FCE timeline can be opened in FCP, though it does depend on the FCE version and the FCP version. FCE 4 can be opened in FCP6 and FCP7, but not in earlier versions of FCP.

All the best,

Tom

Basically it's the FCP version that the FCE version is based on plus all later versions can open the FCE file, kind of like FCP.

FCE1 was based on FCP3
FCE2 was based on FCP4
FCE HD (v3) was based on FCP HD 4.5
FCE3.5 was the universal binary version based on FCP5.1
FCE4 was based on FCP6

There has been no version for FCP7, but has come with speculation that Express has been EOLed.

All the best,

Tom
