Export AIFF- adds "_1-2"

Export AIFF- adds "_1-2"

In FCP when exporting to AIFF why does FCP add "_1-2" to all filenames even though there are no conflicting files with that name in the folder?

It doesn't. Sure your drive isn't formatted to FAT32?

I believe that indicates the tracks that were exported? or does it mean that all the tracks in your sequence were mixed down to 1-2? I forget, but I see it often too. When you get that, are you exporting CHANNEL GROUPED, or STEREO?

The numbers indicate the exported tracks. If you're only exporting two tracks as a stereo pair just export to stereo pair.

As Tom said, export as stereo pair instead of 1-2 (channel grouped).
