Audio Sync Question
November 05, 2010 09:20PM
Hello,

I am shooting a music video, and I saw where some people slow down the footage, but the mouths of the performers still sync up with what is being said.

Example Here:

I heard this was done by speeding up the song, then when it's played back at normal speed with the slow footage everything fits (or something like that.) Basically, I am wondering if anyone knows how to figure out how fast I would have to speed up the song if I was Slowing down 60 FPS Canon 7D footage into a 24FPS timeline?

Thanks so much

-Mike

Is this tutorial about the effect you're talking about?

It's from 2007, so it doesn't deal with shooting DSLR, but the basic theory remains the same.

yes, thanks so much. i guess i was tripped up because i wouldn't be doubling the speed for a 24fps timeline, it would be something different. but i guess the 7d is recording at 30fps and pulling down to 24fps.

thanks,

mike
