"Preparing Video for Display" Madness

I am totally stumped.

I have media managed my project. Everthing goes great until it's time to open the project file. Then it gets all the way to "Preparing Video For Display," and then the progress bar and percentage number goes ballistic. It goes up and down wildly from number to number.

I've tried re-media managing the project NUMEROUS time and it keeps doing this.

Is there corrupt media in the project?

Any other explanations for why this might be happening would be greatly appreciated.

Could be a corrupt file. Try copying the file to your desktop and opening the project with the media drive disconnected. If that doesnt work, media manage the project again.
