Hi all

I was just curious if there were any other editors out there editing shows in stereoscopic 3D?

We did a bit of anaglyph a while ago for a festival. All I can say is it gives you a freaking nasty headache if you work in long stretches.

Yes, cutting a 3D feature right now. It was shot on two Si2k cameras. Muxed to QT with a cinedeck on set. In cineform 2k/3D.

Didn't like cutting in cineform since it crashed FCP every 10 minutes or so, but the director wanted to edit in 3D.

So transcoded to Pro Res 422 in side by side mode.

If the 3D was shot conservatively (read not every other shot is pushing out in front of the screen) then there is no issue with cutting in 3D.

Happy to share more of my experience if you have specific questions.

Editing in 3D? Of course you're editing in 3D-- imagine your cutting room in 2D...

Keep us informed Joe. Not that many folks doing this except for large studios.
