FCP Going Crazy!!! Help!!!

My friends...

Does anyone know how to fix FCP???

I updated my system software last month and now FCP lags?. My timeline is slugish and my audio is not in sync with any of my projects. I checked around on various forums and it seems many have experienced the same!

This is suckin bad.

I?ve got several new projects to film in the next week and this is a nightmare?

Help!!!

Can you link to the other examples you're talking about? I don't think we've seen that problem here, unless this is a new thing with the ProKit upgrade.

Do you have a capture card like an AJA or Blackmagic? Are the sync problems on an external monitor or on the desktop or both. Wrong driver versions on capture cards can cause them to exhibit sync problems.

Details woman! We need DETAILS!! (System / Software / bla / bla / bla). Did you run one of those ProApps Updaters that is killing everyone's computers? Did you check that thread in the stickies?

And what's the format of the QuickTime files in the timeline?

Sometimes updates need to be run again, as frameworks and other support files don;t get properly overwritten or trashed.

And repair permissions right after the upgrade, then restart and reboot FCP.
