OT: New MBPs are locking up

Essentially is not a kernal panic but a freeze. Fans start going crazy and then all locks up.

Ouch.

This is why I do not buy the first iteration of anything new...ever. The SSDs are not all they are cracked up to be either. Research ROCKS!! I love the trendy little guinea pigs that have to have all the latest & greatest first. BE MY GUEST...I will be right behind you buying 2.0.

Some people are having success with the 10.6.7 update apparently.

I'm with Joey. I remembering going through some of the teething issues with some of the new OS releases. I still remember when Leopard first sank it's teeth. The products are great, but I'll wait a couple of weeks for things to stabilize.
