Need recommendations on internal raid card on Mac Pro 2008

I have an older 2008 Mac Pro and would like to replace the internal raid card in there. I have an older Highpoint and would like to use another manufacturer. There just doesn't seem to be that many options. The Apple card is expensive and slow so that's no good. Any suggestions?

Doesn't Caldigit have a RAID card?

yea, they do but I don't actually know anyone running an internal raid from it. If anyone here does, let me know your experience.
