"error code of 135" while trying to Media Manage / Recompress

I am cutting a music video with 5 to 6 sources, all ingested in ProRes 422 HQ.
I need to make an offline version so my MBP is able to handle multiclip playback.

I wanted to use the Media Manager tool to Recompress to Prores Proxy but it fails and I get this message: "The attempt to recompress clip_name failed with ant error code of 135."

Anyone went thru this... and found a solution?

hi there. i am having the same problem. do you know what error code 2 or 135 mean? or do you know of any manuals where they list the error codes & what they mean? thank you,gerry

I haven't found anything on the message 135.
I was able to fix my issue by working around it.

HQ is 10-bit file data (40 million colors), which has been a real PITA in FCP history. Could be the issue.
Can you test ingest at 8-bit (the usual 16 million colors) -- anything without "HQ" in it.

Just a thought. I've seen material straighten out during edit and other operations when reverting to 8-bit. Of course, Blu-Ray loves those extra colors...

All ProRes flavors are 10 bit. All DNxHD flavors are 8 bits except for DNxHD 220x. This is because DNxHD is an old codec.

It could be a file naming issue. Do you have very long file names? You could try using Compressor to convert.
