after effects file

Hi,
A client wants to send me a after effects file of graphic they created, can i just import to FCP?

Nope. If the graphics require alpha transparency, you need them to render it out as animation or ProRes 4444 (if they have FCS '09 installed).

Then they can render out as ProRes if they have FCS installed. Or animation.
