Using a J30 SDI firewire out, can I use the DV NTSC setting to import. Do I need JZ-1 software?
Have a lot of footage to go thru and pick and choose different elements. Can this be accomplished with the existing gear?

If you're connecting to the computer via Firewire, then yes, you should use the DV NTSC capture preset.
