Can any one tell me if the audio rate of the H.264, as recorded on a Canon 3ti Rebel, is 48k? I've searched online and can't find anything. Maybe all H.264 is 48k (?). I have an enormous amount of transcoding to ProRes to do and I want to know exactly what I am dealing with here.
As an aside, I am planning to use MPEG Streamclip for my conversions because I find it quicker to use and I don't get any crashes with it - as opposed to Compressor which I have always found a bit fragile. Does anyone have experience comparing the outputs to ProRes 422 (not 422HQ) of MPEG and Compressor?
Many thanks,
Harry.
PS. I emailed Apple and moaned about FCPX. I got an email back the next day saying they were giving me a refund. I didn't even ask for one ... so that's pretty good in my opinion. I guess Jobs watches Conan.
