I have a sequence that is currently 1080i, 29.97, 422HQ.
There is various footage, but nearly all has been run through Color and so now complies with the above settings.

A lot of the original footage was shot on handhelds (Sony HDR-CX-550v, AVCHD, 1080i).
A comment was made that we should make the sequence 24p to give it a more movie-like look.

What do you think? Would changing it to 24p make a difference?
And if so, what is the simplest way to go about it.

Thanks for your response.

Well, it will make it look more film like than 29.97. But changing the sequence is not what to do. Export the final, and convert that. But does your client require a 23.98, or 29.97 master? Do you want the 24p look but not the 23.98 frame rate?

You can also use the nattress.com plugin FILM EFFECTS to get it to look 24p. Free demo.

Just changing the sequence setting won't cut it.

"Export the final, and convert that."

Right. Easy enough.

Not sure about your other question though. The targets are both DVD (ntsc) and web, not broadcast at this point.

The Nattress... sounds interesting. Will check it out. I really appreciate his Color plugins.
What about Red Giant's software?
