Converting Apple Pro Res 422 LT to iPad format and then some...

Hello!!

I want to convert my Apple Pro Res 422 LT (1920x1080 30p or 1280x720 60p) export from FCP to an iPad format.
But, when try to open the file in Handbrake, it does not find/recognize the file.
So what I end up doing i think is converting the file to H.264 then Handbrake recognizes ti and I can convert to iPad. I can't remember bc I've been trying different formats just to get Handbrake to recognize it.

I also have Sorenson Squeeze and MPEG Streamclip.

Does anyone out there have a proven workflow with specs on how to do this?
With any exports from FCP I want to be able to convert my master file to ipad, iPhone, perhaps Apple TV, dvd formats.

Thanks!!

Put the file into Compressor.

Apple Devices

Choose an iPhone, AppleTV or if they now include iPad, choose that.
