Corrupt HDV file - recovery?

I have an HDV camera file shot on a Canon XLH1 and recorded to a Firestore Drive which doesn't want to want to open. I've got the Digital Rebellion package, but they don't support HDV recovery.

Does anyone have any bright ideas? I do have the camera's internal tape recording as backup, so it can be rescued that way. But it's a drag to wade through the tape to find the right bit and I hoped that someone might have a suggestion which would make my lazy life easier.

It's 453 megs, so I reckon there's definitely something there.

Many thanks,

Slacker Harry.

They're very good, but I'm too stingy to pay the fifty bucks or whatever. I've used them before. I'll just have to dig out the camera backup tape.

But thanks for the advice.

Harry.

Ah yea, backup tapes, unless you're feeling rich.
