Good afternoon, Happy Editors.
I have a bunch of B roll shots at 30fps. I want them to play in my 23.98 timeline without frame skipping - so they will play smoothly, but with slight slow motion. So I go into Cinema Tools, File > Batch conform > choose one shot within my folder of original material and hit OPEN. Cinema Tools then operates for about a second. And when I go to my original folder I find that it has placed all my files in a folder called "skipped" and there is zero in the "conformed" folder. Perhaps I am setting up my "Database" or whatever it is, wrongly. And - yes - I have read the appropriate section of the manual and it seems simple. Can anyone please tell a poor idiot what he is doing wrong? Thanks, Best Harry.
Hi Harry.
yes, it is simple, or should be. even though i think CT always creates a "skipped" folder, i have never had clips wind up in there. they always conform. i wonder what it is about your clips that is not letting them be conformed? might it be a permissions issue? or maybe the media is not all I-frame media, like H264 clips? they would cause problems for conforming. nick
